Baby Annabell toy doll review

Erin loves babies and this weekend she had the real thing when the Molly came to visit her with her gorgeous baby.  It was fair to say that Erin was in love and would not leave baby alone. It was lovely to see this side of Erin as she is often the youngest and doesn’t get to be the big one very often.  Recently Erin has really been enjoying playing with her dolls and last week there was a treat waiting at home for her after school.

Baby Annabelle

Erin was gifted a beautiful baby Annabell doll from Zapf.  What made it all the more special is that we are following in royal footsteps as Prince George was also gifted the same doll to celebrate the arrival of his little sister.

It’s no big secret that children can become a little jealous when a new sibling arrives in to any family. Sharing toys, attention and parents is a new concept to little ones, and can take some time getting used to.

To help embrace the birth of his new little sister and to prepare for her arrival home, Zapf creation has gifted Prince George with his very own Baby Charlotte doll. Mimicking the weight of a real life baby, Baby Annabell is the UK’s number one nurturing doll and with a number of very realistic functions, it’s easy to see why.

Baby Annabell’s lifelike features include responding to touch and sounds, crying real tears, giggling, sucking on her bottle or dummy and being gently rocked to sleep.

So what did Erin make of it.  Well I filmed her just because I see in her face how excited she was.

Little people seem to go through different phases of playing with dolls.  For a long time it was just about pushing them around in a pram or pretending to feed them.  However Erin’s roll play has now changed and she holds the doll more carefully and enjoys changing her clothes.  The games have changed and she is tucked in at night and so on.  I enjoy watching Erin develop these skills and behaviours that we want to encourage.  It brings out her caring side and she is learning about being gentle.  These are skills that both boys and girls should be encouraged to develop.  In our house Erin has access to many toys and this Baby Annabell is certainly a firm favourite!

The doll is available from most good toy shops and costs £47.99 and three batteries are required.  We would like to thank the Zapf Team for gifting Erin the doll.

  1. Aw so cute! Sienna has the Annabell that can crawl and walk and she loves her, we have to take her everywhere! They can be quite pricey but little girls seem to love them 🙂 x
