It is not just the children getting ready to go back to school after my year long sabbatical looking after Erin I too am heading back to the classroom. Although my job is stood at the front of class as opposed to sitting facing the teacher there are lots of similarities!
I have no decent work clothes so I have been buying my new school uniform too. Doing the school shoe shop in Clarks is always painful, this year it was agony! Erin needed boots as she hasn’t required shoes the past year, both Dylan and Chloe needed school shoes and so did I. Four carrier bags and a hefty dent in my bank account later and I think we are ready.
Chloe needed a new school bag and of course only Cath Kidston will do, well at least they are strong but I still doubt it’ll be the only one I buy her this year.
Next comes stationary shopping. What is it with girls and pens? Last count up she had nine YES NINE pencil cases but needed a new one. Plus all the usual bits and pieces to go in the pencil case. This year stabilo contacted us and asked if we would like to review a few of their back to school range.
When the pens arrived it was a bit of a frenzy with Chloe and Dylan dishing them out amongst themselves. Erin wasn’t allowed a look in!
The range is ideal and includes highlighters and pens. I really like the cappi pens where all the lids are attached to a ring, meaning the caps don’t get lost. Considering losing the lids is Dylan’s passion I thought this was a clever idea to keep them together.
The woody, which is a chunky pencil is ideal for smaller hands. As I am making a concious effort to do more art activities with Erin these will be ideal.
Stabilo products are available is most good stationary shops I also especially like ther left handed pens as Dylan is very left handed and this helps him write without smudging his work.
Disclosure: I was sent the photographed products for the purpose of the review.
