Cocktail Time at Frankie and Bennys

Written by Emma. Posted in Uncategorized

We had a rare date night last weekend thanks to Frankie and Bennys who invitied Lee and I to come try some cocktails from their new menu and have a meal at the same time.  I was rather excited as I do like to indulge in a few cocktails and this gave me the perfect excuse to get drinking :)   Gosh this blog gives me some great opportunities!

So Saturday evening came, the babysitter arrived and we headed out.  We decided to have a drink at the bar before sitting down to eat.  This meant we could watch them putting the cocktail together, I’ve always been a Tom Cruise fan and was hoping for a bit of bar entertaining.  However in reality our waitress had to use the menu to put the cocktail together and there were no fancy tricks.  However the finished result looked good and tasted even better.  We started with a mojito and a woo woo.  I like archers and have enjoyed woo woos before.  Again it didn’t disappoint, I am always a little scared by how easy most cocktails are to drink – I could easily drink one too many!

Mojito are apparently in vogue at the moment and so Lee tried one.  He is normally a real ale drinker so it was a bit different but he enjoyed it.

We then ordered our steak meal before having another cocktail!  Next I choose a Bramble whilst Lee had a Woo Woo.  I chose a bramble as it is gin based and most of my friends know I am rather partial to a gin on a Saturday night! Frankie and Bennys is great for a date night but would be equally good to go drinking cocktails with the girls.

The cocktails range in price from £4.95 – £5.95 but if you are planning on having a few, a pitcher works out at good value at £8.95 for two or £13.95 for four glass pitcher.

Disclosure:  We were given the cocktails and meal free of charge.
