Sep 09 Dallas Returns

Imagine the scene, I am a child born in the 70′s my tween age self enjoyed watching Dallas on the VHS tapes early in the  morning.  My dad was always under strict instruction to tape it for me.  Tape it! Not Sky Plus It.

Therefore when I was offered the complete first and second series I was thrown back to my childhood  with nostalgia.  I knew that after I had watched it mum would be wanting a go!  I love watching DVD’s whilst ironing, it’s my guilty pleasure.  I go upstairs iron in the bedroom whilst watching something that no one else wants to watch with me.  Bobby and JR have entertained me with their feuding family and opulent lifestyle.

The glamour and glitz is just as I remember. The battles between JR and Cliff, Sue Ellen drinking her way through the truobles and strife.  It is the ultimate warring family.

And now, well apparently it’s set to get even better.  Wednesday evenings are set to be my new guilty pleasure.  I work three days a week Mon- Wed and Wed night sees me with a glass of wine and shoes kicked off whilst I curl up on the sofa.  From now on I will be tuning in to Dallas at 9pm on Channel 5.
