Disney Live! Mickey’s Magic Show
This afternoon saw us zipping up the motorway to the opening show of Mickey’s Magic Show at the NIA in Birmingham. The stage was set for lots of magical fun with Minnie, Mickey and the gang accompanied by the rather gorgeous disney princesses.
All three children really enjoyed the show and Dylan was quite mystified by some of the magic. For younger children like Erin, they were taken with the singing and dancing. One of the highlights was the dancing brooms of Fanstasia which enthralled Erin.
The NIA felt itimiate and all seats had a good view of the stage. There was plenty of audience interaction which my children enjoyed. Dylan especially loved the magic that involved those picked out to join the characters on stage. My only gripe is the extornitate prices attached to the merchandise, £14 for a light up whizzy glowstick thing. Next time I would take my own as I refuse to pay that much for such a thing but Erin did have a mini meltdown at wanting one. Luckily I stood firm and won out in the end.
One of my favourite bits was the rags cinderella being dressed by the fairy godmother, complete with a beautiful coach. It had all the girls dreaming of being that princess!
The show lasted for just over an hour and half. Which was the right timings for younger members of the audience.
Luckily it is not too late to book yourself some tickets as there are a numbers of shows left. Just have a peek at the upcoming venues.
