Forgetful mum getting organised!
And breathe, my working week is done. As I look at the trail of destruction that has marched through my beautiful home since Sunday evening, I cannot believe how much we pack into our days. Tonight I am reflecting that life with little ones seemed so much more straight forward than life with tweens. We rush from pillar to post, catching glimpses of each other throughout the week. The washing piles up and the dust settles on the coffee table that I don’t get time to wipe.
To survive and manage our family life it takes military precision. I juggle work with swimming lessons, musical minis, dance lessons and football matches. Not to mention the hospital and consultant appointments that befall us. Thankfully Filofax sent me the prettiest organiser they have to offer (well that’s my opinion – you may have another favourite) I received the Filofax Classic Botanics personal organiser in sage. It is rather beautiful and reeks a little of sophistication. It is so much better than my school issue diary! Is it very wrong if I admit to lovingly stroking it this week when I was sitting in a meeting?
I like that buying a Filofax is a bit of an investment, that you can then add extra diary days, maps or even sticker pages. Filofax is so versatile and this week it has been great using it, I didn’t even forget my booked sports massage this week like I did three weeks ago. It is making my life easier and long may it continue. Going back to work has been such a shock to the system but hopefully my organiser will do its magic and keep me on track. Honestly it was so much easier when they were tiny, I was in firm control of where they were going, now they have their own social lives and interests I am left chasing my tail!
Dare I say that it’s time to start the Christmas shopping and to be making your own Christmas list, a filofax should be top of the list if your a busy mum like me then you could be organised with a 2013 Diary.
