Miniland Educational Toys.
The school holidays have bought out the sunshine today – hooray. As soon as breakfast had been consumed by devouring the chocolate croissants that signal the start of holidays, I packed the kids into the garden doused in factor 50 and encouraged them to make the most of it! However I doubt it’ll last considering how rubbish the weather has been so far this summer. Therefore it is a wise idea to have a few rainy day activities on stand by. Or failing that and the kids just want some downtime to have something ready and waiting. Being the teachers that we are we like our toys to have a purpose and the Miniland Educational Toys do just that. Dylan had a go with one of the science kits. We received the make a solar powered car set. Perfect for a nearly nine year old boy that is really into energy sources. One of his big things is looking after the environment and with the influx of houses around us having solar panels on their roofs this was a great way for him to get some real understanding and hands on experience of solar energy.
The set kept him busy for a long time as he got busy and sorted it himself. I was really impressed with the quality of the kit. The instructions were well written for him to follow and he was able to take ownership of doing it. The brand seems a really promising find, and there are other great scientific ideas within the range which is stocked at Play Merrily Toys.
The pieces were all well made, the plastic was solid and not flimsy, it can certainly stands up to being man handled by an 8 yr old boy. Dylan also said his friends would like doing these and he certainly grasped the educational bit too and put solar panels into practise
I was gifted the set for the purpose of this review. The thoughts and opinions are all ours.
