More sunset than bronzer.
The sun is shining, the rays beating down on me. I lie here feeling the warmth of the sun. Around me children splash and have fun in the pool. My muchly anticipated summer vacation. I imagine myself tanning gloriously. Around me I spy bronzed goddesses. You know the ones that I mean. They look flawless, even tans, no strap marks. They lie and without doing anything obvious they just darken.
They have no need to battle with the sun parasol that threatens to truss me up like a christmas turkey.
Yet here I am, more shades of red than is feasible. I resemble a sunset ( a bit red and streaky) rather than a tub of bronzer. I will lie here and hope for a miracle.
