Sunny Delight in the lunchbox

Written by Emma. Posted in Uncategorized

I get really bored of making the school lunch boxes and I know the kids get bored if I don’t keep up the variety of lunch products.  So after the usual sandwich, yogurts and fruit I do try to vary things.  Dylan isn’t a massive fruit eater preferring vegetables and its always a challenge to keep his lunch box on this side of healthy.  Drinks wise they have a bottle of water for during class times but a juice drink at lunchtime.  Again Dylan tends to get bored of the same old fruit shoots.  Therefore when Sunny D asked if we’d like to try the new Florida Style juice drink I was keen to see what the children made of it.  I also wanted to see if it was suitable for all three of the children.

The juice arrived and was quickly pounced on by the children who love trying new things.  The older too both liked it, said it tasted refreshing and asked how many a day they were allowed to drink!!

When I looked at the ingredients and vital statistics I was quite happy with them.  The carton contains 72 calories which is much the same as a fruitshoot and the sugar levels were also similar to the standard fruit shoot bottles.

I firmly believe in everything in moderation and Sunny D ticks those boxes for me.  I am happy for this to be a daily drink as it tastes yummy, it got the thumbs up from the children and adds a bit of variety into the lunch boxes.

The Sunny D carton.
