Erin has been a lucky girl again. Two weeks agao Nuby contacted us and asked if I’d like to try some of their products. Now I like most mums struggle with finding drinking beakers that firstly don’t leak and secondly that a young child can actually get the water or juice out of. Therefore I was quick to request to try some.
I wasn’t sure how Erin would get on as she has tried a couple of beakers without much success However she has taken to the No Spill Cup really well. The spout is soft which helps her suck. As the cup doesn’t have a valve it is not too difficult for her to get the juice out of it.
We also tried the Easy grip beaker. This is suitable for 9mths plus and again come in a great range of colours. This one does have a valve which is why it is aimed at (mths as opposed to 6mths. Due to its design it really is easy to hold. Another beaker I would happily recommend.
Nuby do not just make beakers I also tried a number of teethers. These could not have come at a better time. Erin easily cut the first four teeth and I sighed a huge sigh of relief that she wasn’t going to be unhappy and in too much discomfort during teething. That was until numbers 5, 6 and 7 put in an appearance. We have since suffered with all the usuall problems, horrible nappies, bright red cheeks, gnawing on anything and everything, dribbling etc..
Therefore I couldn’t have been more relieved to get these products from Nuby. First up is the Teether Tugz. This is ideal for newborn babies. It is a soft bodied toy in lovely fresh colours. It also has a teething surface.
Erin enjoyed playing with this but as she has passed the first stage of teething it wasn’t helpful on that front. But it has been a firm favourite cuddly!
My favourite Nuby teether is the Bug a Loop this is just too cute for words. It goes everywhere with me as it really does its job. It has cute bee’s and ladybugs interjected with beads. It is so durable and has plenty of give in it. Erin can really gnaw on this which she does. It has multiple teething surfaces and teething nubs which really help when the teeth are hurting her.
We also have tried the Twisty Bug this is also aimed at 6mth plus and is a harder toy. This again has cute colourful bugz including a bee and ladybug. I love this too! Again you can cool it in the fridge to give extra relief when teeth are hurting. This Twisty Bugz actually won a Gold award from Mother and Baby in 2009 in the best toy category. Erin has loved this teether too and plays happily with this.
The last two products I tried was a non slip bowl, this is a good size and will become even more useful as she begins to self feed. Nuby also have a lovely range of safari chimes. I currently have this hanging in the car for journeys. However it would be great in the buggy or cot basically anywhere.
