Breakfast is the most important meal of the day according to many and it is one of our favourite treats during the school holidays to enjoy all together. We were recently invited to Bottle of Sauce who have introduced a new brunch and breakfast menu. Having not been to Bottle of Sauce Cheltenham we were keen to see what is on the breakfast menu and to sample a yummy brunch. Therefore we headed out to Bottle of Sauce for Breakfast Cheltenham with empty tummies and high expectations.
Bottle of Sauce is located in Ambrose Street, Cheltenham and is a large pub and kitchen that has function rooms, a games room, outside area and the main bar area. The kitchen serves brekkie from 9am. The five of us arrived at 11am and received a friendly welcome before ordering our coffees.
I was hoping to see Eggs Benny on the menu and I was not disappointed! The children went for waffles and Lee opted for the Boss Man, a proper English breakfast. The food arrived and was all freshly cooked and very filling. We were pleased to see proper crispy bacon on the waffles and Dylan had ordered a side of hash browns too, he is a growing lad, they nearly beat him but he managed to eat the lot, just about!
Chloe and I couldn’t resist trying the blueberry waffles and thought it only fair to taste test as much as possible! They were just the right amount of sweetness and a perfect portion size for a leisurely breakfast Cheltenham. Lee commented that his Boss Man was the best breakfast he’d had in a long while. That is high praise as he has high expectations.
The Bottle of Sauce also has a games room and to burn off a few of our breakfast calories we had a family game or two! There is table tennis and also table football. We played table tennis and had a giggle which was a lovely way to spend half an hour after eating. As a busy family, we often have things planned in the evening, I am often at Iron Zuu Gloucester, Chloe has hockey and Dyl at football all which make it difficult to eat together. Going out for brunch gives us a chance to reconnect and chat before heading off in different directions for the day.
We will certainly be back for brunch and for us, a real highlight is the games room which makes it an ideal place to go as a family or with friends. Brunch is a great way to start the day and when you leave with a full tummy and smile on your face you know that you can tackle the day ahead with ease.
