How are your New Years resolutions going? Can you even remember what they were? This year I didn’t make any but I vowed to get fitter and lose weight – like many of us I am sure. However, it is the getting toned that really matters to me. I totally need to work on what I am eating because I know it is not the best.
Getting fit and strong has been really enjoyable so far. This comes from someone who doesn’t really do sport anymore. I am trying to run again but I find it hard to pull on my trainers. Any excuse and I can talk myself out of going outside.
However, having a personal trainer suits me. I am using a local personal trainer Deb Locke who comes to my house each week. She brings all the equipment and I have discovered I love weights. Deb also runs classes which I am also attending including weights and kettlebells.
At first I was nervous about doing weights but now I want to do them even more. I feel really strong and empowered after a set and I can see how much it is making a difference to be wellbeing.
In addition to training with Deb I have got myself a kettlebell in order to carry on at home. I repeat what I have been shown in the classes and do it myself.
Therefore when I saw that JML Direct has added some new fitness equipment to their product lines I was keen to put it through its paces. The Flex Core 8 is an Ab workout and exercise machine. The Flex Core 8 is a sculpting system that helps you shape up. Resistance is a key element to making the most of every rep when you need smooth, controlled movement that maximises the development of a specific muscle group. Flex Core 8 lets you work against a force without the need for gym equipment with weights and pulleys.
The Flex Core 8 even comes with a DVD and is compact enough to store easily at home. The Flex core is ideal for those starting exercise. The DVD is really useful for suggesting how to use the Flex Core 8 to its best advantage. If you starting out of your fitness journey the Flex Core 8 is one tool that will enable this and help you get on track. Make sure you use it regularly and that it doesn’t just become something to stick in the cupboard under the stairs!
I will be sharing my fitness journey throughout the year and documenting how I am getting fitter and stronger.
