Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I have on a very ad hoc basis but I do plan to start writing my lists this half term. I have ordered my Christmas cards from STEPS which is a good start too as I’m often found doing cards very last minute! Every year I dream of having a beautifully decorated home and enjoying all December has to offer. It is such a busy time at school, both on the teaching front and attempting to get to the children’s own school and nursery celebrations. This year I will actually be able to attend Erin’s nursery nativity as it is on a Thursday. I am sure I will shed a few tears. I never cried at the older two’s efforts but anything like this for Erin leaves me welling up – I guess I just don’t take things for granted now. I love buying and wrapping presents providing I have time to do it well. So aim to stay organised and on top of everything this year.
TK Maxx have made gifting even easier by having something on offer for the whole family. I have shopped at TK Maxx a fair few times this year and been impressed with their childrens designer clothes at very affordable prices. However I haven’t really spent much time looking at the gifts and toys that are also available. However I am a new convert especially if ordering online. I have decided I like have the presents delivered directly to my door. No lugging around big boxes and it also makes it easier to get without prying eyes!
Erin adores Sylvanian families which we started collecting last year therefore when I spotted that TK Maxx had both the Primrose Windmill and a large nursery accessory set I snapped both up quickly. One thing I have noticed with TK Maxx is that popular items do go out of stock quickly so do order when you see it to avoid disappointment. I like however, that there is a warning when stock is running low, the website tells you have many are left.
I also spotted a gorgeous Reiss necklace that was an absolute steal. The saving was about £40 and it only cost £19.99 which I was amazed with. I had thought this would make an ideal gift for my teen or my sis in law however I think I will be keeping it for me now that I have seen it, tried it on and then worn it for the rest of the day!
It is a really substantial necklace that is a geat length. This has certainly encouraged me to look more closely at the jewelry range in the future.
I also picked up some more toys including a Hello Kitty plane for just £10 and a leapfrog scribble and write for £15. Like I said TK Maxx makes Christmas and gift shopping easy for the whole family. It is all in one place whether you shop instore or online like I did. My final choice was something very special. Like most teen girls Chloe is rather attached to designer clothes. Last year I bought her a pair of Uggs which have lasted really well. They still look like new and she adores them. However we all know that Uggs are not exactly a budget brand! Therefore I couldn’t believe it when I spotted that TK Maxx had an Ugg hat and scarf combo. I know Chloe will love it! I choose the colour pink and it looks even better in ‘real life’ than it does on the website. The scarf is chunky and warm just like you would expect from a premium brand. The set has a saving of £39 making it now half price. What teen or mum wouldn’t want to discover this on Christmas morning?
I am really impressed with what I have seen at TK Maxx this year and will be looking to finish shopping here once I have witten those lists!!
Disclosure: I was gifted the items mentioned and included for the purpose of the review, Thoughts and opinions are all my own.
