December has somewhat crept up on me this year and I wasn’t feeling very festive despite it now only being a few weeks away. However this weekend I finally found my Christmas Spirit thanks to Grandma Claus.
Grandma Claus is on tour in Gloucestershire and we were invited along to one of the first performances in Gloucester. Written and directed by Matt the hour-long show is aimed at younger viewers age ten and under, although there are plenty of jokes for the parents too. Grandma Claus is a heartwarming tale that reminds us all that family matters more than presents at Christmas. Santa hasn’t been home for a very long time since his move from the North Pole to Lapland. His Grandma waits every year for his return but is usually let down.
The hour-long performance takes place in the living room on Christmas Eve. There is lots of silly fun with TwinkleToes and Grandma. After the performance, all the children were invited onto the stage to meet Father Christmas and have their photo taken. My Erin really enjoyed this and it was a great way to see Fr C.
Grandma Claus is showing around the county and you can still get your tickets for upcoming weekends. This is a very affordable way for all children to experience Christmas at the Theatre.
This lovely show we leave you feeling festive and ready to embrace the season ahead. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and think you will too! It is being shown in small intimate theatres which is a great venue for younger viewers.
