A couple of months ago I didn’t feel very good about myself. I felt sluggish, tired and just a bit fed up. My clothes were tighter and I was wearing the same few comfy things in a bid to convince myself that all was well. I needed a challenge and So Shape offered me the opportunity to carry out a So Shape review.
My weight usually fluctuates by a stone or so. I lose it, then I pop it back on like a trusty coat. However I decided that I wanted to feel better. Feeling better means having more energy, having a clearer head, better skin and feeling better about myself when I look in the mirror. I wanted a whole refresh. Not a makeover as such as the changes needed to be internal too, I needed more than just a new haircut!
The first stage was getting back to excersise. I have run a half marathon but I don’t really like running. I get bored easily and find pulling on those trainers difficult, plus finding the time was an issue. I could easily talk myself out of run, I could convince myself that I just didn’t have time.
Therefore I started with a personal trainer. I jacked in my barely used gym membership and instead invested in a PT who comes to my house. We train in my garden and I enjoy the variety so much more. I have discovered I love using weights. After a few weeks I joined her Kettlebells class too. I then even bought my own kettlebell in a bid to do more at home. I am about 10 weeks into using a PT and cannot rrecommend it enough. It is worth spending the money on myself and because I have someone coming to train me there is no excuse to not pulling on those trainers.
The second change was getting our puppy. I knew the novelty of walking a puppy would wear off with the children but I also knew that I could make time to walk Lilly. She has very much become my dog. She sits with me in the day whilst I work and then we walk after dinner. My fitbit shows the results as I have dramtically increased my steps. So much so that my dad has joked he needs to get a dog to compete with me.
I have also looked at my diet. I know eating rubbish food is an issue for me. I work from home and I make bad choices. I am an intelligent person and I know what I should be doing. Yet I find myself making bad choices. I am also an all or nothing type person. I like short challenges that motivate me and encourage me to stick to a plan. I am a competitive person by nature.
Therefore So Shape was an obvious choice. So Shape has arrived in the UK from Paris and has three challenges. A five day challenge named Reboot and is ideal for those looking to elimate the effects of excess. A 14 day challenge Remove, this aims to enable you to get thinner and fit into your favourite jeans again. Finally Reborn, the 28 day challenge that will completely change your shape. I opted to try the So Shape review for 14 days.
How the So Shape Plan Works
- The plan is a meal replacement plan. You use two of the So Shape products then eat a healthy high protein meal once a day.
- You select up to six different flavours. I really liked the variety as again I often get bored of having the same thing. This plan has cold shakes, hot soups, Pasta meals and even ice cream. It offers way more choice than any other plan I have tried in the past.
- The shakes are easy to make and just require mixing the packet with water and then shaking. A shaker is also provided.
Does So Shape Work?
Well it worked for me. This short term approach gives me time to adjust my eating habits. It puts me back in a good place where I am not automatically reaching for the biscuit tin. I found the shakes tasty, I enjoyed having a hot meal (I opted for tomato soup and the pasta option) in addition to just cold shakes, especially now that the weather is a bit cooler.
I lost 8lbs in the 14 days which has had the desired effect as those favourite jeans now fit very nicely again.
I would recommend using So Shape as part of an overall health or fitness kick. As a motivator I also have an exclusive discount code where you can enjoy twice as many flavors with the custom option included on 14 and 28 days Challenge if you use: CUSTOMEMMA.
