Easter is a time of faith, of miracles and of hope. Yesterday that all rang true for us. Erin has taken a few tentative post spica steps over the past few weeks. However most of it under duress and with hesitancy. However she chose Easter day for her new beginning, suddenly her little legs wanted to show the world that she was again ready to walk. She walked with confidence and with joy. Erin danced into church holding my hand tightly to the astonishment of those who have been praying for her for the past few months. During the prayers Erin decided to waltz away from me, all the way around a row of chairs to give her uncle a quick cuddle. Suddenly many eyes were focused on Erin and not the alter as she went for this daring manoeuvre. A few shed a tear which seemed to catch some of them by surprise. After the service Erin was the hot topic of conversation with everyone amazed at this rapid improvement. Erin has regained control of those bendy legs, that dysplastic hip, she is back in control. For now.
