As I am pinned to my sofa by a poorly child my mind has been drifting ahead to holidays. To feel the warmth of the sun, the sand in my toes and a cocktail in hand is the stuff my daydreams are made of. We have already decided that this year will be a big holiday. Two years ago we went to Florida so last year was a smaller holiday staying in my inlaws apartment in Spain . This year I want the whole lot again I want a hotel holiday where everything is at my finger tips. As we are a family of five I have found that we do need to be organised booking holidays, we are subject to school holidays and need accommodation for five not four. Who would have thought one extra child causes so many more logistical planning? This is why booking early with ABTA makes sense plus there are advantages to be had from doing this.
Booking early is a great way to secure a great deal and ABTA have made this easier than ever with the use of their Earlybird Site hub. This shares some of the best deals around and even gives you the opportunity to win a holiday to Iceland (another of my wishlist destinations).Did you know that prices are cheaper in January and February as it is the traditional sales season for travel companies and it’s at this time that they put out their best deals with potential savings of hundreds of pounds. Secondly it is worth noting that supply and demand takes a toll- Remember it’s not just British tourists who are all looking forward to their summer holiday but millions of tourists from other countries too. That puts competitive pressure on hotel rooms and flights, and there’s a limited supply of both. Therefore booking early ensures the best deals and best destinations and hotels.
In addition to the Earlybird hub there is the interactive booking map which shows you the best deals by destination – ideal if you want to quickly browse the offers, for example if you clicked on Cape Verde you would see that there are three current money saving offers and you can then be redirected to the offer.
Booking with ABTA gives peace of mind that you are getting a good deal and will also be protected from the moment you book. Now where are the suitcases?
