Erin is often found with her pen or pencils in hand. She will be found drawing, writing stories and generally being creative. She loves to learn and loves to write. It is the reason that she started her own blog Being Erin Rose last year. I wanted somewhere where she could write and I could keep the content to look back on.
This morning as we were walking to school, Erin’s friend was counting down the days until they break up for Easter. But Erin was quite indignant about that as she loves going to school both for the academic and social side of things. Erin will often take in stories she has written and just last week produced a project on Antarctica that she had thrown together over the weekend!
I want to encourage Erin to continue with this love of writing and one way to do this is by finding her competitions that she can get involved in. Go Ape! We have just launched their 2018 national writing competition for children aged between 4-12 years old. They are looking for enthusiastic writers to send in their adventure stories, an adventure / holiday they have been on or something altogether made up and creative.
The competition is being judged by Andy Griffiths, award winning author of the tree house series and there are a range of fantastic prizes up for grabs including your height in books, a school trip for all the class to come to Go Ape and even a family holiday worth £5000! – watch the launch video here.
This is just the sort of thing that Erin would like to get involved in and I will be setting her the challenge over the Easter holiday as it will help keep her busy! I will also be telling her friends, because there are some fab prizes up for grabs and you never know your luck unless you try!
If you have a child like Erin or you think your child’s school would like to get involved just head directly this site to be entered https://goape.co.uk/adventure-
The prizes are pretty impressive with because Adventure Travel experts Explore offer exciting family adventure holidays to over 50 destinations. The trips combine each destination’s must-see sights, such as the majestic Taj Mahal or Jordan’s Petra, with fun experiences and activities for the whole family – whether it’s an evening of native American folklore stories with a Navajo guide in Monument Valley or kayaking over a sunken Roman settlement off the Turkish Mediterranean coast.
Travelling with other families means that kids have a ready-made network of companions to travel with and these often lead to life-long friendships. Thanks to the security of travelling with a group, alongside an experienced and passionate Explore leader, mums and dads can truly relax. With all the logistics taken care of, this leaves more time for travellers to take in the sights and make the most of precious family time together.
And that is not all!
In partnership with Go Ape I am able to offer a family ticket (for 4 persons 2 adults and 2 children) to go on their own forest adventure at a local Go Ape centre. To be in with a chance of winning this family ticket just complete the rafflecopter entry. Closes 16/04/2018 at midnight.
