Having three children means that we need a big car, as a family, we have a seven-seater and a five-seater. I am often ferrying the children about and now they are older they like their space. However, we still need a full back car seat for Erin who often falls asleep on journeys and she needs to be safe and comfy. This Citroen C4 Cactus Review covers the key points we discovered during a long review which involved taking the car on holiday!
Citroen recently asked me if I’d like to test drive a C4 Cactus for a week an carry out a review. This coincided with the Murder Mystery weekend and I decided it would be a great opportunity to try it. For the first few days I was just driving about locally, and it is certainly a striking car. I had one that was a gorgeous colour which I loved and when buying my next car – I certainly want something brighter. The car had plenty of space, especially in the boot. The children happily spread out across the back seat and did not moan that they were touching each other!
The interior of the car has some nice touches and again felt spacious, the side bumpers reminded some of my friends in a bumper car but they are very practical. I am often driving about with children or attending places where I am frequently parking next to other mums with small passengers (hello school run, dance class, football coaching, play areas and school parties) this means that with the best will in the world cars get dinged by overzealous children opening doors. The side panels stop those dinks and keep the car looking better.
This car seemed to get the balance between family car and adult car just right. I could go on about fuel capacity etc but for me, that is not important and not something I look at. The things I liked were the parking sensors, they were a revelation again ideal for a mum that is constantly parking. Additionally, I liked the Sat Nav and how easy it was to use. It got us to Compton Manor with no issues and helped me find where a certain party was. These are the things that matter to me!
I vlogged the car briefly so that readers can see it in person and to admire the colour! This press car came with a roof box which I would use if all five of us were going away in the car.
Citroen C4 Cactus Review
It was great to try a car out and driving a new car is a dream, it was really quiet and smooth. I took my grandad for a little spin and he commented on how fab it was too. The husband also drove it and liked how it felt. This was a certainly a good car to rock up to a Manor House in!
We would like to thank Citroen for the loan and only wish they had forgotten to collect it – but no such luck!!
Sharing is caring!
