In The Media

I am a qualified teacher with 12 years teaching experience, during which time I was Head of Sociology. During my time teaching, I also set up an internal inclusion unit for those struggling in the classroom, it was during this time I focussed on mentoring and motivating teenagers who were often disadvantaged and disengaged from Education and their community.

In time I became a trustee of a local charity to work more with young teenagers and I was also a volunteer youth worker for many years. I specialised by taking an advanced course in behaviour management to complement my degree in Social Policy and my PGCE.

Currently, I am a school governor and still committed to improving the outcomes for teenagers. I use my blog and experience to advocate for teenagers and have regularly been in the local and national press to give commentary on teen related issues and topics.
