BubbleBum Review – making travel easier

The Bubblebum aims to make travelling with children that bit easier. Mum of two Grainne Kelly came up with the bubblebum after carrying around bulky car seats and booster seats. The idea is simple she wanted a portable, lightweight, brightly coloured, inflatable booster seat for kids aged between 3-11 which easily deflates and folds flat so that kids or mums can carry it in rucksacks or handbags, making it perfect for holidays, rental cars, taxis, coach journeys, school trips or car pooling.

The bubblebum was born!!

Having older children I have found having a spare booster is required.  I am often transporting additional children in my car on the way to kickboxing, back from dancing or after having the children’s friends for tea.

The bubblebum is ideal as you can fit three across the back of most cars, which, with many of the traditional booster seats you cannot.

My one concern was about safety.  Afterall we all want to ensure that we are using safe products.  I was pleased to see that it has been well tested and passes the tests, the BubbleBum has been approved under the United Nations ECE Regulation R44/04 for safety for both Groups 2 and 3. It is designed for use with a standard 3 point adult seatbelt that has been approved to ECE Regulation 16 or equivalent.

I have been putting the bubblebum through its paces for the past couple of months.  It has been used by numerous children and now lives in my boot.  I think this is a practical option for grandparents who will be transporting their younger family members around.  It doesn’t take up much space and is cost effective.  The bubblebum has its own website and Cheeky Rascals is the main distributor in the UK.

I recieved the bubblebum from Cheeky Rascals for the purpose of the review although the thoughts and opinions are all my own.
