We all know that sleep is pretty important, it is a topic that dominates parents conversations, who has had the most sleep? Who is the most tired? And let’s not forget whose lie in it is on Saturday! I doubt it is only us that had these conversations when the children were little! These day’s it is our puppy that ensures one of us has to get up and our teens are certainly never up early! However, a memory foam mattress and Casper pillow certainly helps aid a great nights sleep.
According to sleep experts, mattresses should be replaced every 8 years, which when you consider how many hours are spent on them makes sense. Over the years mattresses have got more luxurious and more scientific resulting in better sleep. There has been lots of research into what materials provide a good nights sleep and a memory foam double mattress is right there at the top.
Choosing a mattress can be tricky because there are now lots on the market. Casper has developed an award-winning signature memory foam mattress with four layers. Each layer offers the perfect balance of support, breathability, comfort, and alignment to ensure a good nights sleep. Casper is also recommended as a Which Best Buy and that means it has an unbiased endorsement from a panel of consumers.
We were recently offered a mattress, double fitted sheet and two Casper pillows to see if they would help provide the sleep we needed. Of course, we said yes to trying them out!
The memory foam mattress arrived rolled up in a box. This makes transporting the mattress super easy. We quickly had it out of the box and watched as it doubled in size as it settled on our bed. The Casper pillows are full of bounce and put our old pillows to shame as they looked withered and flat in comparison!
Once I had made the bed I couldn’t wait to put the mattress to test. We like a firm mattress and Casper did not disappoint. It is like being given a hug and I slept better than I had in a while. Apparently, I am also tossing and turning in my sleep and frequently wake Lee up. However, this week since we have been sleeping on the Casper memory foam mattress and Casper pillows I have been more rested and less fidgety. Lilly, our Cavachon sleeps next to us in her crate but jumps up onto the bed around 5.30am well since the new mattress she settles back down and has been sleeping until gone 8am! This has been a lovely treat and I am wondering whether Casper have considered doing dog size mattresses which I could put in her crate!
Of course, I do more than sleep in my bed, it is my favourite place to enjoy reading and is often where I sit and Facetime Chloe. This week I have enjoyed resting on my super comfy bed whilst having some time out to read. The pillows are really comfy and I have previously never considered spending much on pillows. This was probably a mistake as I can already feel the difference in my Casper pillows. My neck is not as stiff in the morning and again I wonder if this is what is helping me stay settled for longer.
A memory foam mattress certainly seems to be the comfy option. Purchasing a mattress is a pretty big deal seeing as we spend so much time horizontal and therefore knowing the Casper has an independent Which Best Buy gives it a seal of confidence where I am concerned and I can only echo its findings, as we are very happy with our new mattress.
Both of the teens also have double beds and they would be happy to have my mattress but I have told them there is no chance, they don’t need any encouragement to stay in bed any longer than they already do!!
Sharing is caring!
