I have spent the past year training at Iron Zuu which I often now rave about. When I first walked through the doors and began
New Exercise Routine
I have been a member of a number of gyms in the past and I would start with enthusiasm before it wained, and I left disheartened with myself. The problem with gyms for me is that I am not sure what I should be doing. I also would start off with a focus, but quickly tire of it or stop. I can certainly say that I never ever pushed myself really hard in the gym. I would do some stuff that got me out of breath a bit. But I never worked until I could train no-more.
When I started Iron Zuu Gloucester it was a revelation. I was welcomed into the fold and did
I box, I slam balls, I lift weights and I use my body weight in a way I never have before. I now train 3 times a week and love it. I have made good friends and gained confidence. My
Over the year I have plenty about getting fit and pushing myself: Read on if you want to know more!

Find a new exercise routine you really enjoy!
It may take you a while to find the exercise that you really enjoy. As we get older we change and with it our likes and dislikes. I never thought I’d like group training but now I wouldn’t do anything else!!
Wear the right sportswear!
Get kitted out correctly and wearing the correct clothes whether that is breeches, trainers or a good fitting sports bra is essential. Sometimes it is worth investing in yourself so that you are comfortable and practically dressed. I never thought I’d end up with a wardrobe of sports leggins and vest tops but I have!
Work out the what training offer you the best value for money
Cost, it is worth thinking ahead about the cost. Iron Zuu, for example, is more expensive than many gym memberships but it is group training and cheaper than a personal trainer. I have gone down the personal trainer route before and get much better value for my money by being part of Iron Zuu. Therefore think about how often you will go to the exercise you choose and look at the overall cost.
Consider your commitments
When can you fit in exercise and what works for you? I now can’t do much at the weekends as I am busy ferrying the children to hockey, dance and football. Therefore I needed exercise that I could fit into my week.

Taking up a new exercise routine or programme is so rewarding, joining Iron Zuu was one of the best decisions I have made and I am grateful for all those who I train alongside and of course to Chris who trains us with such enthusiasm, encouragement and at times by telling us how it is and holding us accountable!
