Buying a new floor is expensive and disruptive enough, so you’ve got to be sure you’ve ordered the right one before going all in! Here’s a few tips to help you make sure you have a stress-free online buying process…
Samples!
Ordering lots of samples is the best way to get an idea of if you like the flooring before you buy it. No matter how good the pictures are, you can never get a proper idea of whether you like the flooring properly until you’ve seen it in the flesh. That’s why samples are so important! You can test them in every room in the house can hold it up against the furniture in the room. A lot of companies offer a free sample service too, so take advantage!
Make sure you know exactly what you’re looking for
With there being so many options available, it can be hard work just narrowing things down! So before you start trailing through all the different products, be clear in your mind what it is you want so you have a more manageable amount to look through.
Budget
Like anything flooring differs on price. Make sure you’ve worked out your budget before you start looking, so you don’t feel tempted by other things in different price ranges!
Don’t book your fitter until your flooring arrives
This is something a lot of us do and it makes sense! When we get our flooring naturally, we want it down as soon as possible. However, things can be delayed or you might not be happy with your flooring and want to return it, by which time it’s too late and your fitter is booked and will be expecting to be paid. Don’t book your fitter until you’ve received your product and are completely happy with it!
