Photoshoot with the family.

My mum and dad recently decided they wanted some ‘proper’ photos of the grandchildren and so bought a great deal through groupon. It included an hours shooting time plus a few images of one picture.  Chloe even got her hair done all for a bargain price, that’s why I love groupon. Of course the company make their money selling the discs and prints afterwards and I was suckered in as I knew I would be.  To be fair there was no hard sell – just some amazing photos!

If truth be told I find having the shoot quite stressful with the children.  They required three outfit changes and we also had to manage two littles (my nephew) in a small studio was challenging.  Luckily aunty Emma had snacks for bribery as the little two didn’t want to always do as the photographer requested.  On top of that Chloe obviously didn’t want to change with the littles.  Dyl normally refuses to have his photo done and is certainly not at ease infront of the camera unlike his big sister and uncle sam.  Yes I said uncle.  Remember this was a photoshoot of the grandchildren, except a certain uncle went green eyed and insisted in being in all the shots!! By the time the hour was up I was hot, bothered and ready to finish! Eight of us in a small studio with tripods etc was full on!

I haven’t had an official photo of my three done since Erin was about a year old. One of the many perks of blogging is we attend events that often have photographers about that get great snaps of the children. These make brilliant images but I rarely have all three children at the same event!

Once the  photoshoot was done it was time to view.  I was most surprised by Dyl’s images he doesn’t usually enjoy the limelight. He didn’t look comfortable when he was supposed to have shots on his own but the results were the best photo’s I’ve ever seen of Dyl. I wish money was no object and I could have bought them all.

I bought a photo on disc and was lucky enough to be offered a canvas review the same week. The canvas prints that arrived was of fab quality.  The size which is 16 inch by 20 inch was ideal for the wall by the dining room.  I already have two canvases from an event I attended with Erin so together they look great.  I was told years ago to group in three’s so they look fab being close together.

A canvas is always a great gift too especially for grandparents who often are tricky to buy for.  They can finished with different effects and in different depths too.  The photoshoot was fun and this canvas is the ideal way to showcase the images!
