5 Kid-Friendly Family Sun Holidays for 2019

Kids are difficult to travel with, as they get easily tired and easily bored. Finding kid-friendly, family holiday destinations can be a tricky task as you need to make sure the food is suitable and varied enough for your child, and that they will always have something to keep them occupied. If you are struggling on where to book your 2019 family holiday, I have some suggestions for you.

Green Garden, Playa de las Americas, Tenerife

I discovered this all-inclusive resort on the Tots To Travel site and I think it looks great. Adults get the sun, pool relaxation and delicious food, and the kids get play zones full of toys, and enclosed gardens and terraces where they can run around safely. For adults there is all of that palm tree and sunbathing stuff that we crave, and the kids can have a wild time in a safe environment while we enjoy it. The food on offer caters for even the most fussiest of eaters too.

Levante Beach Resort, Afandou, Kos

Another resort I’ve been looking at is an all-inclusive one from Mark Warner Family Holidays. Their childcare options during both the day and the evening look great. Perfect for some much-needed ‘me time’! This Greek resort has designated childcare areas where kids can play and be monitored at the same time. There are a whopping 6 outdoor pools and 1 heated indoor pool, as well as all the sun loungers you could desire. There’s also a spa for some adult pamper time, and the dining options are fun and varied for all the family.

Middle Stone Farm Holiday Cottages, Somerset

Away with the Kids is a great resource for more local, UK-based family breaks. I love the idea of a UK farm holiday where the kids get to interact with animals and learn more about what it takes to look after them. Sometimes it’s nice to just stay in the UK too, and appreciate what we have to offer for vacations. The weather might not always be the best, but there are plenty of indoor activities for the whole family. This farm is in Somerset and it’s pet-friendly too. The cottages are really quaint, country-like and homely. There are kids’ playgrounds, as well as hot tubs for them to frolic about in too.

Blue & Green The Lake Spa Resort, Vilamoura, Portugal

Trip Advisor also have their own breakdown on the best family-friendly resorts for kids to enjoy. You can definitely do luxury and have your kids in tow too. This resort has such classic cream and pale blue décor that feels very homely and luxe. It’s in Portugal, so you’ll get the sun, and it has beautiful swimming pools lined with palm trees. The staff here are great and will strive to keep the whole family happy and relaxed. They have a fun kids club that your kids can go to, to make new friends and give the adults some peace and quiet; and the resort is just incredibly clean and well-maintained in general.

If you are looking for somewhere to take your family on an Easter holiday or summer holiday next year, I hope my picks have given you some inspiration. Maybe you’ve even discovered a new destination you hadn’t thought of!
