Many of us like to update our living spaces regularly. Last year we did the big living room makeover which involved new wall paper, furniture and sofas’s. It had been about fourteen years since we had bought the previous sofa. This time we went for a grey that can then have the soft furnishings changed around the staple grey. One affordable way to update a room is using cushions and also using art work. Last year I bought all white frames to make a wall display, I actually upcycled using some paper, cards and wall paper as a temporary measure. A couple of them look great but a few need updating and this is where King and Mcgaw come in.
King and Macgaw have affordable prints in a host of design and with prices starting at just £14.95 it is a stylish way to add a personal touch to your home. I like to have prints that are not the same as everyone else therefore it is good to step away from the high street and get a unique modern look. I have created a mood board of the ones that would look good with the current living room.
These three all complement the colour scheme we have in the living room. The owl print is my favourite and this one is now on order! The prints can be ordered framed or unframed. Unframed suits me as I do like the frames that I bought last year. I had bought a range of white frames that all complement each other from John Lewis. However the prints can be framed at an additional cost. The products below are also ways to update, a rug will have a large impact as it takes up lots of space. Bringing in some spring flowers also makes a splash, I like to mix up using artificial flowers and real flowers. Mixing the two enables the room to always appear fresh and colourful but using some artificial is again cost effective as always buying flowers can get expensive. I also have arranged flowers in the Orla Keily jars that a coffee brand used last year. These always get commented on as people think they are expensive.
The teen has also been looking to update her room. She has grown from a shabby chic look to a more straight lines and clean finishes. She has picked out some of her favourite Banksy images which would add those finishing touches.
Do head over to King and McGaw to see how you can update a room the affordable way and let me know which prints you choose.
