My eldest daughter has always had a thing about Owls and this was way before Harry Potter! Her friends always used to buy her Owl related presents from keyrings, cushions and even bedding. Therefore I am pretty sure that she would love the Owleez, the new interactive flying owl toy from Spinmaster, despite being 20! We are huge fans of Spinmaster toys, especially interactive toys like Hatchimals which offer so much fun for children. This year a new addition for 2019 is Owleez and dare I suggest that this will be one of the top Christmas toys 2019.
Owleez the Flying Owl
Owleez is an interactive Owl that you can teach to fly. Designed for indoor use you charge the Owleez up in its nest until the eyes turn white. Once fully charged you begin to interact with the owl by feeding it, swinging it around. Once the Owleez is ready you can place it back in its nest and it will fly for about 10 seconds. Top tip – make sure the Owl is fully charged for flying.
What is in the box?
Inside the box you will find 1 x Pink Owleez, 1 x Berry food accessory and 1 x nest plus the cable for charging. The Owl retails at £49.99 and is sure to be on many Christmas lists as it is a pretty cool toy.
What does Owleez do?
Owleez will learn to fly the more time you spend playing it. Like many interactive toys they respond to touch and being played with. Therefore the more your child handles the interactive toy the better the experience will be.
In addition to flying the Owl eyes show how the Owl is feeling and encourages you to handle the interactive toy in a number of ways. You are provided with a sheet that informs you of how the Owleez is feeling according to its eye colour. You can then make the owl happy by responding in the appropriate way.
Our Thoughts On Owleez
Erin enjoyed getting to know her Owleez and working out what it could do. We think this will be a hit on the Christmas Toys 2019 wishlist for children. It is aimed at those aged 6 and over as it can be a little tricky to handle. It makes cute noises when you are interacting with it which will appeal to children who want to look after and nurture their interactive toy. The flying is very quick and you need to make sure that you have space around you as it will just crash down when it runs out of flying juice.
You can feed, pet and fly the Owl so it does offer quite a bit in terms of play opportunities.
