Brighton is one of my favourite places to visit and there are so many fun things to do in Brighton for all the family.
Brighton is one of those hipster locations that just oozes vibrancy and fun. A seaside spot on the southern coast of England it is a quirky, authentic, retro yet modern location to explore. Many tourists in the hundreds flock there year after year to marvel at the epic beach, enjoy the pier and amusements, as well as the many attractions within the city that you can enjoy while you are there.
There are plenty of things to do in Brighton and getting the train to Brighton is easy. You can be there in around an hour from London.

Brighton has many places to stay and so if you are hoping for lavish luxury, something that is budget-friendly, or just want the confidence that the accommodation is in the right spot, there is something for everyone. If you were hoping to find a hotel that has a central location, only being a 12-minute walk to the Grand Pavillion and a 14-minute walk to Brighton Pier then The Grand Brighton is the place to go. Here you will find top quality accommodation and a reasonable price, with rooms starting at about the £90 mark.
Something luxurious
If you wanted something a little more luxurious then why not try the Hotel Du Vin Brighton. This hotel has a central location, beautiful rooms, and excellent facilities. The prices start at around £120 per night.
Budget-friendly option
If you were hoping for something a little more budget-friendly then why not consider the Premier Inn. There is one right in the heart of the city centre. Conveniently located for all the attractions and places to see. It is also very family-friendly so could be the ideal option. Prices start at £29 per night.

Of course, there is no point in travelling to Brighton without planning the time you have there. After all, you will want to ensure that you take in some of the best spots and sights. While visiting the beach is a must, here are some of the other things to do in Brighton.
Royal Pavvillion
The Royal Pavillion is an exotic palace in the heart of Brighton. It is a real spectacle full of colour and vibrancy. Built as a seaside escape and fun location for King George IV the historic house showcases a regency grandeur with an Asian flare. A must-see.
Brighton Palace Pier
You can’t visit Brighton without heading to Brighton Palace Pier. Here is where you get that retro seaside vibe with lots of amusements, rides and entertainment that the whole family will enjoy. Brighton Pier is a great place to go either for a morning or afternoon, and will likely be a highlight of your trip.
British Airways i360
The British Airways i360 is one of the best observation towers in the UK and will give you some of the most incredible views of the south coast. It is certainly an attraction that you won’t be able to miss, given how tall it is, but it is a great option to consider for the whole family.
The Lanes
If shopping is your thing then you need to ensure you head to The Lanes. Here you will find some incredible quirky independent shops. There are also some well-known names as well so it really is a must-see for anyone who loves a bit of retail therapy.
SEALIFE Brighton
Heading to SEALIFE Brighton will always be a highlight for anyone, families or couples. This particular establishment has many different sea life exhibits and also some immersive experiences that everyone can get involved with. It is also the worlds oldest aquarium.
Where should you eat?
While visiting Brighton you will no doubt need some sustenance so knowing where to eat and drink will be essential. Here are some suggestions:
- Baqueno – Great if you love steak.
- The WitchEZ Photo Design Cafe – one for anyone who wants the perfect foodie Instagram shot. The food is stunning.
- Nanninella Pizzaria – great for families as well as any Italian food lovers.
- Bom-Banes – Something a little different with some more unsual offerings on the menu.
- Indian Summer – the taste of Asia and one of the UK’s most well loved cuisines. You can’t go wrong at this one.
