Erin rocks the autumn look.

It is the time to change what the children are wearing and I have already had the ‘I’m cold’ from Erin.  Therefore yesterday I decided to tackle her bounteous wardrobe and realised with a little bit of glee and an equal amount of sadness that lots in her wardrobe was not going to fit any longer.  Some of the dresses are too short, some of the sleeves a little too short and some just looking past their best.

I smiled as it means more shopping and I do love finding her lovely outfits to wear, but was sad for the beautiful pieces that I still like that she will no longer look cute in.  When sorting I have two piles the pile that gets passed to Erin’s younger cousin and then the pile for a charity shop.  My niece generally does quite well from Erin!

Erin, like me, likes quality.  She will not wear scratchy clothes and  is a bit fussy.  I guess that is how I have influenced her but together we choose pretty, delicate prints and patterns.  I tend to buy a number of items from the same range and therefore you can mix and match different outfits together.  I seem to pick  colours that are earthy tones and these suit her colouring.

Recently I was introduced to Olivier Baby and kids which is a beautiful brand that started in 2011 and is run by two sisters. Thier ethos is quite simple to create unique and fun cashmere knitwear that their own children would happily wear.  I love how involved they are in every aspect of the brand as one sister knits all the samples by hand herself before they are tested.

Olivier baby and kids is stocked in John Lewis and some smaller independent stores but very excitingly they have just launched their new website and the A/W collection.  Erin was very lucky to be sent one of the gorgeous cardigans that I lusted over when first looking at the website.  When it arrived I felt even more special as it arrived beautifully packaged and presented in it’s own dust bag.  I think the pictures I took do the talking for this cardigan!

This cardigan is a classic cashmere V neck cardigan with a stunning twist as it features a heart on the back.  Cardigans like this are timeless and so easy to wear.  The cardigan costs from between £64 and £84 depending on the size.  Here Erin is wearing it with a Ted Baker skirt that I also adore (I think I paid about £20 in the sale)  and wearing it with her headband as I love the autumnal colours.  We picked the flower garland headband in Claire Accessories for about £7
