Every so often I like to spend some time with Chloe doing something fab. Last year we had a few days in Spain and I treasure this time with her whilst she still wants to hang out with her mum! Last weekend we were lucky enough to have been given a pair of tickets to the Saturday night final of the X Factor. A lovely comper had won them and she passed them over to me as she couldn’t go. Going to the X Factor has been on my list for a few years. My biggest decision was deciding between taking my best friend or Chloe! I decided Chloe wouldn’t forgive me for choosing her godmother so I took Chloe!
We travelled up on the Saturday morning and settled into our hotel room. We then headed over to the 02 Arena to collect our tickets. We had a bit of an adventure on the bus as unbeknown to me you can only pay for one ticket per bank card. The bus driver was a bit of a pratt and threatened me with an £80 fine.
After collecting tickets Chloe and I went for food and spent a few hours waiting about. Once in the arena we were stunned by our seats, we had an amazing view and were sat just behind the VIP’s
The show was amazing, if you watched on TV you know just how much fun was had in the arena. Listening live was electric and the acts were all amazing. Listening to the duets was great and my favourite was hearing Ed Sheeran live was beautiful. We had all been given torches and the arena lit up in a lovely blue glow. Watching it on TV afterwards it was amazing to see.
We were both firmly supporting Fleur and I was disappointed that she didn’t win overall. We then taxied back to our hotel (we didn’t want to risk the bus fiasco again) drank hot chocolate in bed and sat up chatting.
The following morning we headed down to breakfast, just as we were slurping our coffee two of the finalists already voted off came in. Me being me and having a celeb spotting teen went over for a selfie style picture. Both Chloe and Stephanie were lovely and happy to pose for a photo with my Chloe. We chatted for a few minutes about the show before their car arrived to take them to the arena for rehearsals for the final show.
We headed home shortly afterwards. The weekend was fun and yet again I loved the company of my daughter. Taking time out to spend with just one of them every so often is lovely. Dylan had some time with just Lee as they went to snooker and had nanny and grandad on Erin duty. You can apply for tickets for free via applause store and I will certainly be trying my luck next year too!
Sharing is caring!

We have applied for tickets in the past but for the auditions and we have been really lucky and been to a few!
I can imagine that the live show is something else though!
I think my fave part of this post is how Chloe still wants to spend time with you, I hope my daughter feels the same when she is her age. xx
