Is the Ecosmart hansgrohe tap easy to install?
I have one of those handy dads who can do just about anything so I gave him a call and arranged for him to come and do a couple of (quick) jobs for me. We had an isolator on the current tap and fittings so didn’t expect there to be any problems fitting the tap. Dad unboxed the tap and at first, pulled a face at me as there are more connectors than I had told him as he didn’t know that it was a spray tap!

How long does a tap last?
Typically modern tap designs can be expected to last between 15 and 20 years which is about right, our house is now 18 years old and we had the original tap still. An interesting fact is that hansgrohe keep spares for all their products 15 years after they discontinue them which helps us know that even after the five years we are still protected. This also means we can avoid landfills if we do need to change a part later down the line.

Our thoughts
The hansgrohe tap looks really stylish and modern and the pull out spray makes lightwork of washing up as you can angle the spray into pans easily. It is also ideal for washing fruit and veg. The spray is controlled and not forceful which I like as when rinsing berries I don’t want them mushed!
The tap adds a great finish to our kitchen makeover and we know that we have done our bit in making a smart choice.
