Everything You Need To Pack For A European Road Trip

When embarking on a European road trip, it is important to ensure that you have everything you need all in one place. Whether this is the summer essentials such as sun cream and a swimming costume or an umbrella and a raincoat these are all essentials that you need. Here, we are going to give you our guide to everything you need to pack for your next European road trip. We are just back from Sardinia where we stayed at Perdepera Beach Resort.

Documentation

When travelling on a European road trip, it is important to ensure that you have the right documentation. Not only do you need all the documents for your vehicle, but you also need other important documentation such as an e111 card. In order to ensure that you have your card ahead of travelling, it is important to ensure that you apply for your e111 card renewal at least 6 months before you are due to travel. This will ensure that you then have the proof of entitlement to medical care should you need it.

First Aid Kit

Another important element to ensure that your pack is a first aid kit. It is important to have this on hand as this ensures that you are prepared for any event no matter how unlikely to maybe. By packing a small first aid kit either in the glove compartment or in a suitcase, this can then be on hand at any time whether you are travelling with friends or family to ensure that any issues are dealt with immediately. This first aid should feature all the essentials such as plasters, antiseptic wipes, pain killers and a cold compress to ensure that you are fully prepared.

Food

By far the most important part of a road trip with the family is the food. The in-car snacks are what make the trip and therefore a lot of consideration should go into picking it. Not only should you have sweet treats for the younger ones but a savour selection such as pork pies and sausage rolls are just the right amount to fill you up during the long ride without ruining your evening meal. It is also important to bring a certain amount of food with you as you move from location to location to ensure that you have the supplies that you need to eat when you arrive.

High Factor Sun cream

When travelling in Europe, you are likely going to be met with warm weather, therefore it is important to bring a sun cream that is suitable for your skin. This will help to protect the skin from UV rays when enjoying your time on the beach, as well as protect you when you are walking around some of the worlds most famous cities. This style of sun cream can be purchased either in a spray bottle or in a liquid to suit every skin type.

With all this in mind, there are a number of amazing locations for you to visit along the road around Europe and it is important to ensure that you are ready for every event come rain or shine. Happy Travels.
