Family life rarely runs smoothly and the more children you have the more that can go wrong statistically. My lot make me laugh non stop with their antics and these are the moments I want to capture and want to remember. I started blogging back in 2009 to record family life – clearly the blog has become more than that now – it is my job and has changed our families life for the better, but it is still the place I want to record those little moments.
Erin who is a bright six year old is YouTube crazy, thinks she is American and talks like she is. Only this week she decided to ‘prank’ her sixteen year old sister by taking apart a custard cream biscuit and putting toothpaste inside. This was something she had seen on YouTube, we are often doing taste challenges and so on to recreate her favourites on YouTube. Chloe genuinely fell for it and was not too amused! Erin is fast becoming a joker and is full of energy which is a far cry from just a few years ago when she was constantly exhausted and we wondered how she would mange with full time school. Make no mistake she still likes her sleep as does Dyl. Dyl has had a massive growth spurt and once again we noticed he was slipping down and becoming very lethargic and tired. He has a tendency to become anaemic so this summer we have been topping him up with vitamins and Spatone.
Erin regularly raids Chloe’s make up and puts her face on, she does however need top work on her contouring and blending. She is rather shocking at it but thinks she has it nailed and is always pleased with her final look! At first I used to make her wash it straight off but I now realise that she is just being creative and expressing herself. Shame Chloe is not so generous in her thoughts – considering she has wrecked some of Chloe’s expensive make up!
Chloe did get her own back when she took Erin to the park and was pushing her in the swing. Except rather than push the seat Chloe pushed Erin who then fell off the seat! One bruised Erin was not happy! I have watched my children get into so many scrapes over the years.
