Cute and cuddly the Lumo Stars are the new kid on the block. They are launching this month and they will be the soft toy your child will want to spend their pocket money on! Lumo Stars offer more than just a soft toy though, they are inspired by Nordic nature and mythologies.
Erin is an avid reader and reads many different genres of books. Her teacher has bought mythologies to life for her this year and Erin often tells me about Greek Mythologies. The Lumo Stars are born from the storybook created by Kati Heljakka. This first series is called The Northern Brights Collection and are available from Amazon, there is a range of creatures from Fox Blueberry to Cat Peach.
The storybook is an enchanting tale of Northern animals who live in a land with blinding light and mystical darkness. It teaches children about the northern lights and brings the animals to life. The children can then collect their favourite characters.
The Lumo Stars also has a free app where little ones can bring their Lumo buddy to life by scanning the QR code on the tag. Each character can then be fed, played with and grow in the magical app world.
The plush Lumo Stars come in a range of sizes the ‘Big Lumo Stars are 24 cm and cost £12.99. The classic are 15cm and cost £6.99 / £7.99 there are also key rings at £3.99.
The storybook is £15 and makes a beautiful gift. Reading with children is the ultimate gift, as a parent we can instil a love of books from a young age. Reading out loud exposes children to proper grammar and phrasing. It enhances the development of their spoken language skills and their ability to express themselves verbally. So whilst Erin is able and capable of reading by herself I still choose to read to her when I can. It is important to not only listen to your child read but to read with them.
Erin really enjoyed the story and she can’t wait to show her friends the Lumo Stars. Erin and her friends often collect things, it has been beanie boo’s in the past and these are going to be the new big thing. Over on the Lumo Stars Website there are also some downloadables to keep your kids happy and they can learn more about the character including what they eat and their name day.
These are super cute and we are excited to be among the first in the UK to play with them and read the story.
