As Mother’s Day arrives on Sunday, Sofaworks has come up with a few simple ideas for how to enjoy the day.
There’s no better gift for Mother’s Day than the gift of time. Why not spend some quality time with the family, gathered around the most sacred of family spaces, the sofa, this Mother’s Day?
For the more adventurous children, why not help them turn your sofa into an obstacle course or a fort and let their imagination run wild.
Enjoy a movie evening in as a family. Replicate the cinema experience with a big bowl of fresh from the microwave popcorn and settle down on your sofa to enjoy the latest release on Netflix or Sky Movies.
Spend some time crafting. Collect up all toilet rolls, old egg cartons and washing up bottles and recreate a Blue Peter masterpiece. A rocket ship, car or a fun mask, shouldn’t be out of the realms of possibility. Add some glitter and some colour and you are done!
Baking as a family is great fun. Have a go at making some easy ginger biscuits or fairy cakes and then sit down and tuck in, while telling stories on the sofa.
