Today I am hosting a guest post for spring craft ideas from the talented Becky Goddard -Hill. I devoured her book on baby budgeting when I was pregnant and then passed it on to my sis in law. It gave some fab ideas on how to stretch your budget especially in an economic downturn like we have. Becky has inspired me to get creative with Erin and I will showcase some of our first attempts soon.
Thanks so much to Emma for letting me guest post on her lovely blog. My own blog Baby Budgeting is all about having fun with under fives on a budget. This month we have started thinking about Spring. Winter’s definitely on the way out and so that means it’s time for us to gather round the kitchen table and start crafting!
As a family we make a HUGE seasonal scenes filled with things that we adore. Everyone does a little piece for the picture and it sits proudly above our kitchen table. It brings us immense pleasure. Here is ours for Spring. it’s a real team effort. When the season is over we take a photo rather than keep the end results and we love to look back at them. Why don’t you have a go?

There’s a really good tip in this blog – I didn’t know what to do with all the treasured pictures and craft work which kept coming homing home when my son started at kindergarten… So now I photograph it all and put the best ones in the digital yearbook of photos I put together for him each year. It makes the horrible guilt of throwing away his precious artwork to make room for the new ones a lot easier for a mum to bear!!

I am a real arty/crafty mu. I have four young children – 2 boys aged 7 and 6, and 2 girls, aged 5 and 3. The two boys are more into footie and computers than art and crafts but my two little girls love to bake, draw, paint, glue, stick etc. so I’m really pleased. Your ideas are an inspiration and it is nice to share ideas with fellow mums. I am always browsing the web looking for more and throughout the year I am always planning Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year, Valentines, Easter, Mother’s Day, Birthday, activities. This year we’ll have to get together to list some ‘Royal Wedding’ craft idea and maybe decorate our homes and gardens with ‘Royal bunting’ and make some Royal cakes, decorated mugs etc. Now there’s some ideas to get us started!!!!
