The killing of innocents #stopthekilling #tippingpoint

As I smile and laugh with my baby I can’t begin to imagine the pain of losing a child. My children are my everything.  A mothers love is like no other and that love will be the same no matter which country, city, town you live in.

Yet last Friday too many mothers in Syria had their doors kicked in as men with weapons murdered helpless children and babies.  49 children and babies were killed in one night alone.  Ripped away from their mothers.  They had done nothing wrong.  They are innocents.

We might moan about issues with our own government – whether a sausage roll is sold hot or cold, whether are taxes are being well spent. But what a privileged society we live in. We put our children to bed each night safe in the knowledge they are safe in their home.  Knowing that we live in a democracy.

We can help though, together we can make a change.  You can help right now by doing any of the following.

  • You can sign the petition from Save The Children.
  • You can sign the petition from Amnesty.
  • You can join the protest of mothers, parents, grandparents and children, to London on 10th June.
  • You can blog about it, tweet about it or share the things you read on Facebook.
  • You can RT tweets you see that use the hashtags #tippingpoint #syria #stopthekilling
  • You can read more about the politics and facts known about the massacre in Houla, Syria here.

Sharing is caring!
