Tikkers teach how to tell the time.

Tikkers are watches that have been especially designed for children.  Dylan has become reliant on digital clocks, probably as a reflection of the modern society in which we live, his bedside clock is digital as is the time on most mobile devices however I think is so important that children are confident with telling the time on analogue watches / clocks.

Therefore when Tikkers offered me a child’s watch I was very keen that it be for Dylan.  I selected a football themed tikker and knew that would capture his interest.  The tikkers are vibrant and exciting with graphics including football, butterflies and flowers.  With straps of  smooth silicon, Tikkers come in a range of fabulous colours with contrasting keepers, and dials feature different detailing for boys and girls. The Tikkers Time Teachers guide children with graphic dials featuring “to” and “past” helpers and labelled minute and hour hands, making learning to tell the time fun as well as educational.

Dylan has grown in confidence from using the watch over the past two weeks.  He can quickly tell me the time and has got to the point of knowing, rather than having to ‘count it out’ in his head this is partly due to the second dial that has the minutes clearly shown.

Tikkers are available in many of the usual retailers including Amazon, Argos and of course watch shops.

Suitable for ages: 4 – 16.  RRP – £14.99
