Vionic Footwear is for Pretty Feet

I used to think that wearing sensible shoes equalled unfashionable shoes. I believed that shoes were meant to make my feet ache and the balls of feet feel on fire.  I accepted that I was not comfortable in shoes or boots and would take them off at every opportunity. That is until I discovered Vionic Footwear.  I have been wearing Vionics for a number of years now and with each season they are creating more and more gorgeous footwear. They have proven to me that Vionic footwear is for pretty feet.

Growing up I had very narrow feet and it was always tricky to get school shoes to fit.  As I entered my teens I would buy shoes that would quickly be discarded.  Buying more and more shoes was such a false economy as I was never comfy.  It wasn’t until my own children were diagnosed with flat feet and needed orthotics that I realised my feet were exactly the same.  It was a revelation to discover that flat feet or fallen arches are very much part and parcel hypermobility syndrome,  a condition that affects the children and me to differing degrees.

Once I had started wearing orthotics in my shoes and boots not only did they last much longer but my feet quickly felt the benefit. Previously shoes would wear out very quickly as I didn’t walk well or straight.  By the end of a day my feet would be aching and my calf muscles tight. I convinced myself I didn’t like walking, but in reality, I love taking the dog out for a walk twice a day now.

I then discovered Vionic Footwear by chance.  As a blogger, I am invited to events and one was hosted by Vionic.  It couldn’t have been more on brand for me and I was gifted a pair to try.  Those running shoes are still going strong and made me realise just what Vionic’s could do for my feet.

They were a little more than I would often spend on footwear but they far outweighed any other shoes I have owned. The technology in a pair of Vionics allows for natural alignment, they have built-in support meaning that you do not need to put any other orthotics in the shoe. The shoes are recognised by podiatrists as offering good foot health.

Aside to the technology and science behind the shoe, how they look is always important.  Over the past few seasons, I have enjoyed seeing more and more pretty shoes coming out.  Whether it is loafers, pumps, sandals or heels more and more colourways are appearing.

The new season is full of pastels and on-trend metallics, Vionic footwear is for pretty feet!  The Midi Perf is a casual shoe and has never looked so good. The slip-on features a perforated leather upper and twin gore panels for all-day walkability. I have been putting them to the test and many people have commented on how fab they look.  They don’t look like orthotic shoes or sensible shoes and I have enjoyed telling people just how comfy they are!

Vionic footwear has slimmed down my shoe collection as I now know what suits my feet and I am not wasting money searching for shoes I can wear comfortably all day.  I now head straight to Vionic’s footwear although it is still tricky to choose a pair as they are so many to covet. Next on my wishlist is adeline in tan, how about you? What would you spend your next paycheck on?

  1. Ooh they really are pretty, love the fact that they are good for your feet as well as beautiful. Definitely a brand to look into next time I’m buying shoes. Much better to pay a bit more and know they’re great quality.

  2. I’d never heard about Vionic footwear until a couple of weeks ago when I tried their gorgeous wedges. They were so stylish and comfortable! Loved them.

  3. These look fantastic and really supportive for your feet. I think it’s so important to have the right shoes. I have the opposite issue to you and have wide feet. Do these come in a wide fit too? They look lovely! x

  4. You have put it quite clearly when you said that it made your feet feel pretty rather than just look pretty from outside. Comfort always comes first whether when it comes to clothes you wear or footwear. These shoes, if really effective, could be a blessing for the people suffering from hypermobility symdrome.
