Travelling for women is not easy, especially for those who prefer to stay stylish on the go. Clothes, makeup, undergarments, handbags and so many other things take so much of the suitcase space that jewellery stays lonely when waiting to get into the travel bags. Some women avoid it altogether however, if you don’t want to you don’t have to. There are plenty of ways to make space for your jewellery in your travel bags and organize it too. Take a look at some of these below. You might also take a note and add a few of these in your backpacking checklist too.
- Use Jewelry Roll For Bangles, Bracelets & Chains
Fabric lined jewelry roll is one of the most terrific ways to take away your jewelry during travels. In addition to keeping your jewellery organized, these jewelry rolls fit in small corner, saving your packing space for other things. Usually, jewelry rolls are best suited for bangles, bracelets, chains or anything you can clasp and hook onto the roll.
- Use Plastic Packets for Rings & Earrings
Rings and earrings are tiny accessories very often prone to getting misplaced. Small plastic packets are great to store these jewelry items. It also has a couple of other benefits. Say, you’re going on a vacation and you have planned to wear different pairs of earrings on respective days of sightseeing or holiday. In this scenario, you can label the plastic packets according to the days and tuck them to the clothes you’re going to wear that day. This goes well for finger rings, studs, pendants, brooches and pins too.
- Use Card holder packs for Organizing Your Jewelry Items
Whether you use an ATM card holder or those compartment based plastic packs that you used to store picture cards or greeting cards. They will help you store your jewelry items while categorizing and sorting them.
- Use Mint Container for Stud Earrings
Little mint pallet containers are excellent for storing your anklet, chain or even a pair of earrings or two for a short trip. These transparent containers don’t just keep your jewelry organized but also seal them well so they don’t get boggled inside other stuff such as your clothes or cosmetics.
- Use Erasers for Silver and Gold
Yes! Back then, those erasers helped you in cleaning out pencil charcoal and now they’ll help you carry your earrings of silver and gold. If you can’t carry heavy fabric or satin lined boxes to pack jewellery while you travel, erasers can come handy. Tuck your silver or gold stud earrings in one of these erasers and keep the erasers securely in a pouch or packet or a folded cloth pot. This won’t add much to your luggage too.
- Use Towel Napkins and Toilet Paper Roll for Bracelets
Well, this is similar to the jewelry rolls you just read about. If you can’t find a jewelry roll in the market, you can create your own. Simply take a wash towel or clean dustercloth, roll it tight and secure it with rubber bands at the ends. This is your DIY jewelry roll ready to carry your jewelry in your travels. So doll them up with some colourful glass beads bracelet, a bohemian necklace, some chunky bangles or anything you wish to carry with you on the go. As an alternative, you can use the leftover roll of toilet paper which is but a cardboard roll.
- Use drawstring pouches for earrings and bracelets
Drawstring pouches are very common among ladies especially in weddings, parties and functions. If you too have been to an Indian wedding, you must have noticed these colourful drawstring pouches dangling down the wrists of women. On such special occasions where there is a lot of crowd and where you need spare accessories or beauty tidbits with you at all times, these pouches come handy. Also, being lightweight in nature, you can carry them nearly anywhere and everywhere while adding even more fabulousness to your looks. Another exciting idea about drawstring pouches is, you can create one on your own with, let’s say, your socks. Slip in a pair of earrings in one of your socks and tighten its open end with a clasp, rubber band or elastic chain.
