My car is fitted with lots of gadgets and sound effects. I have bluetooth which means I can talk hands free, this is useful when I am sat in a carpark waiting for the teen daughter to finish some sporting activity or another. I can sit and chat to someone. I find it a good use of my time to make the weekly phone call to little brother or someone else I need to catch up with.
The car also beeped at my mum just the other day as she hadn’t put her seatbelt on. She actually asked me how the car knew she was sitting there without her belt on. I did giggle and she seemed to think it was something you would expect from ‘Kitt’ in ‘The Knight Rider Car’
However there are lights on my dashboard that when they come on confuse me! I normally just tell the husband and hope that next time I get in the car the light has gone! Therefore when I saw this quiz on Blinking lights I was intrigued to see how I would fare!
I actually did ok too getting 7/8 correct I think it was because I could logically work it out from the multiple choice. I am not sure that had there not been some guidelines in the answers that I would have scored considerably less than that.
It is a concern really as I do think I should know what’s what and when I need to get something sorted straight away. Especially now that I drive much further afield. I used to only drive in the county but since blogging and going to events and press things I do now drive much further. I still haven’t driven abroad yet though and I am not sure how keen I would be to do that. Lee didn’t enjoy driving in Florida and it puts me off although if I had my Sat Nav I think I’d give it a go.
I’d be interested in knowing how well you did on the quiz – so please do share your results in the comments. When my teen is the age for driving I would be very keen for her to do a basic car maintenance course to. Maybe it should even be part of the test. I would not have a clue at looking under the bonnet. all I can do is put diesel in! I have never even added air to my tyres!
Sharing is caring!
