Wooden Windows and Room Makeovers

Dog to retouch copy (650x434)

I have a dream, it consists of pretty things and white wooden furniture.  I have huge plans for my home still.  I may have been here five years but there is still plenty I want to develop and implement.  I will have an attic conversion which will be turned into a space for the teen.  This would give me the teens current room to have as an office for me and some dedicated space for my things.  My husband is practical and I do agree that having delicate and white furniture doesn’t work for us as a family at the moment.  We have too many toys to home and too much stuff.  However as the children get older this will change and I will then start surreptitiously adding things in!  I would like to make over the room into a day working space that would have the dual purpose as a visitors room if needed.

We do keep the house in very good order and and we are often changing things, decorating or adding touches.  One way to keep a home in great condition is by having good quality windows.  One of the first things we did when moving in was to change the front door.  Wooden windows bring out the quality of  your home and these bespoke wooden windows should be treated in the same way that you would treat quality furniture. The wooden windows from Wood Window Alliance are  the modern, durable, sustainable, cost-effective, efficient and beautiful alternative to PVC-U they also keep your house warm and draft free.

I would like my office space to be light and modern.  I imagine a white desk, with a day chair where I can find inspiration.  The room will be my space with my inspirational wall art, pretty stationery and storage for my blogging things.  I would choose wood windows as they can be decorated and re-decorated to suit your changing design schemes.  This suits me as I do like to keep with trends and often change things.   Wood windows and doors are available with a variety of hardware including ultra-modern finishings which again appeals to me. White spaces help create the illusion of space and brightness.  I like rooms to be light and real wood windows with the sun shining through would be peaceful and help me develop creativity.  I imagine a few simple plants in plant pots.

If you were able to make over a room in your home which would you choose and why?
