So here are my top ten tips for how to teach kids patience.
One- Make A Child Wait.
Teach kids patience by making them wait. I know that sounds a little terrible but trust me when I say this is one of the most effective ways to teach kids patience.
The next time your child asks for something, teach them how to be patient by asking them to wait just a moment. One great way to do this is to teach a little one to wait his or her turn. For example, teach your child that when two people are playing with the same toy they will need to take turns. Instead of immediately giving into their request, teach them how to be patient by waiting for their turn.
Two- Talk To Your Child About Being Patient
Tell your child what patience is and how important it is in life. Something like “it’s really hard sometimes when you want something, but the only way you’re going to get it is if you can wait” will teach children to be patient.
Three- Give Kids A Task To Do While They Wait
Give your child something to do while he or she waits. This could teach patience by giving them a task to keep busy with while they are waiting for their turn, or help teach kids patience when you need them to wait before having dessert or doing an activity they want to do.

Give your child a limited amount of time for them to wait for something they want . This will teach children patience, because instead of waiting an indefinite amount of time they’ll learn that they will only need to wait a limited amount of time.

For example, teach kids patience by letting them talk through the waiting process. This will help teach children how to be patient by letting them express themselves and teach patience in the process.
