As Friday night rolls around once again I consider how we will spend the evening. Many years ago my Friday nights started straight from sixth form! It would be a trip to TopShop on the way home to get something new to wear out. It would then be pre drinks of 20/20, who remembers those drinks? Then more drinks as we got ready for our night out. We would then bus into town where we met up with more friends. The biggest difference is that I would be able to get up on saturday morning ready to do it all again. It could not be more different these days as Staying in is the New Going Out in my life especially with these 3 brilliant films that you need to watch this weekend.
My Friday nights now include getting into my dressing gown and getting comfy with a bottle of prosecco and watching some Netflix or DVD’s. I actually enjoy these evenings after a busy week and look forward to chilling with the family.
Here is currently what is stacked up ready to watch.
- 13 Reasons Why. This has been talked about so much on social media that I am getting sucked in. My 17 year old binged watched the series. She has now convinced me to watch it with her as she feels she actually watched it too fast. She needs to go back and watch it again. If you haven’t heard of it it tells the 13 reasons why the girl committed suicide.
- Fallen, I really loved the Twilight films back in the day and when this week when I was sent Fallen on DVD I got rather excited. I have been sent the film, the book and some snacks to enjoy a night in. Fallen is the story of a young girl who finds herself in a reform school after therapy since she was blamed for the death of a young boy. At the school she finds herself drawn to a fellow student, unaware that he is an angel, and has loved her thousands of years.
- If you are looking for laughs Crazy Ex Girlfriend promises all the laughs. Rebecca leaves an amazing career in New York after she runs into an ex-boyfriend, Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III), who she went to summer camp with when she was 16. She drops everything, including a promotion at a New York Law firm, to follow Josh to West Covina, CA. She’s convinced that the road to happiness lies in West Covina. “It’s just two hours from the beach, four hours in traffic. This is also on my list to watch.
What series or films are you watching? Is there anything else I should stack up ready to watch on my friday nights?
Sharing is caring!

I’ve just rewatched Doctor Foster on Netflix, just as good as when I watched it on TV.
