The Easter break has certainly been cold. We have been found mostly indoors snuggled up under blankets and with the heating on! For the children, this meant we attempted more Easter crafts than usual. I actually surprise myself by how much I encourage this now! One of the benefits of being in the blogging community is that I find great inspiration from fellow bloggers who are very crafty. The easter craft ideas came from them!
Therefore Erin (with a little supervision) made a lovely Easter Tree. My husband *might* have laughed at us a bit claiming it wasn’t Christmas but it did help Erin understand what Easter is about. At church, we decorate a large cross which is made from the branches and trunk of the Christmas Tree. Therefore we did our own mini version. It was really simple we foraged in the trees behind our house for a nice small branch that had been blown down (there was plenty of choices)! and simply stuck on pretty stickers and ribbons we had. We added a couple of mini Easter eggs to add to the season!
Dylan also got crafty as he had been sent an Egg to decorate from Skylanders. Skylanders is a big deal in this house at the moment, with birthday money being spent on extra figures. This decorating kit was sent to Dylan along with a ceramic mug perfect for hot chocolate!
Finally, our big event was Chloe’s Confirmation. Chloe along with her uncle and a few friends that she has grown up within our church was confirmed on Easter Saturday by the Bishop of Gloucester. This was a beautiful service and caught me more emotional than I thought it would. Chloe was the youngest being confirmed and it was lovely she shared this occasion with her uncle who at only 16 she is really close too. They stood side by side and made me incredibly proud. It seemed very special to be confirmed on such an important night n the Christain year. She looked beautiful and reminded me how much she has changed. She was baptized in April 2000 and the past 13 years have flown by.

Sounds like you had a fantastic easter. I used to do resurrection eggs with the boys and they loved them. I didn’t do any this year and they complained!
