My top tips for cub camp or any school trip away.

British summer time means lots of family fun, parties in the park, festivals, cub camps and rain! Oh how much in still manages to rain and leave us with boggy fields. I wrote recently about how much we get flooded in our beautiful part of the country. Therefore good wellies are needed for cup camp and even just going out on some day trips. I discovered Joules quite late in the day really but have certainly stocked up since. Erin sports and fab gillet and matching wellies. The gillet is so perfect as it is so versatile. Therefore when Joules contacted me and offered us some wellies I thought Dylan would need them most. Here are my top tips if you are waving your cub off to camp soon.

1. I put a days clothes together in a plastic bag and label it with the day.  It means they actually get changed.  When I left it to Dyl to get changed, he simply didn’t bother!

2. Put in a pack of wetwipes.  Dyl didn’t use a flannel the whole time he was away but I think he did use the wet wipes!

3. Pack joggers as much warmer than jeans.

4. I write a couple of little notes and hide them in various pockets.  The notes are reminders to clean teeth etc but also to say how much we love him.  He loves finding these almost as much as finding the hidden sweets!

5. Get them to help pack their bag then they know what items they have and roughly where in the bag it is!
