A Peek Inside John Lewis Cheltenham

Something very exciting is happening in Cheltenham. This week after months of redevelopment the old Beechwood Arcade becomes John Lewis Cheltenham. The store is split over two floors and this week I was invited into the store for a sneaky peek before it opens its doors later in the week. Here I have photos galore plus a little bit to wet your appetite!

John Lewis Cheltenham is something special and I have no doubt it is going to be a huge addition and centre point for shoppers. The architecture of the store is inspiring and consumers are going to find themselves staying in the department for hours because their every need is catered for.

The store is full of brands that you would expect but there are also some firsts. Charlotte Tillbury is making its debut in Gloucestershire, and Boden is stocked instore. There are the John Lewis brands of course but also upcoming labels that will be popular with the Cheltenham shoppers.

Throughout John Lewis Cheltenham there are nods to Regency Cheltenham and the history of the town. Nothing is accidental and the attention to detail is pretty on point!

In addition to the brands, the John Lewis store is bringing new concepts that will delight the shoppers. From the super size children’s changing rooms with easy buggy access to the VIP personal shopper spaces for both men and women, it makes shopping easy.

There are phone charger points and even some workspaces for those of us who are freelancers and like to get out of the house to work for a bit.

One of the new concepts is the experience room, which is a seated room where there will be many workshops taking place. Some will be paid ticketed events and others will be free. These can all be booked from the experience desk which also offers a range of other services like wrapping your gifts (hint: Lee – no more presents unwrapped please)

Once you have finished shopping there are a few options for a drink, meal or cake. John Lewis Cheltenham has a restaurant with room for 120 covers and there is Huffkins for breakfast, cakes and drinks which is situated upstairs.

I will leave you with a few more pictures but I can tell you that this store is unlike any other in Cheltenham and I am sure it will be a huge success!

One thing I really picked up on is that this has been designed with customers first. It offers such a great shopping experience. Let me know your thoughts – are you planning on visiting soon?
