Autumn Walkies with Hotter Boots

The nights have become darker, the conkers are falling and the leaves are turning to those autumnal colours that look so beautiful. As October peers around the corner, I can feel the nip in the air and this weekend saw me digging out my winter wardrobe. Getting new boots is always a sign that the season has changed and Hotter boots envelope my feet like a warm hug. I get new boots each year and this year I have opted for ankle boots.

This will be our second winter with our gorgeous cavachon Lilly who has disrupted our lives more than I ever thought a dog would! When we first mooted the idea of a puppy I didn’t realise (probably naively) that she would become my dog! I have never really been an animal person but now I am smitten! Lilly is a pampered pooch and it is fair to say who are all beholden to her!

Gone are the spontaneous day outs unless she can come but we wouldn’t have it any other way! One of the biggest advantages is how much more active she has made me. Gone are the days of struggling to get my 10,000 steps. These are easily achieved with the school run and the dog walking!

Therefore when Hotter invited me to collaborate with them on their autumn campaign I was happy to get involved. They wanted to see how their Hotter Boots fit into my everyday life but especially on walkies!  I opted for a pair of ankle books, named Pixie. The Pixie’s have a  luxury faux fur lining which offers a warming hug for your feet and the irresistibly slouchy silhouette looks great with anything from jeans to dresses.

I teamed my Hotter boots with skinny jeans from F&F and a Phase 8 white jumper from John Lewis and Partners that is perfect for this part of the season, that time when you need a little more but not the full on heavy jumpers.

I know that I am going to get so much wear from these winter boots and like all Hotter boots they fit well and I am sure that they will wear well. I have a number of Hotter shoes now from these boots to flats and going out shoes. Each season they seem to get better and better and the Pixie boots are available in a wide range of colours.

We are so lucky where we live that we have all this green space around us where I can walk Lilly. Today Erin came with us as she gets to play in the park whilst I walk. Erin has become much more adventurous in the park and especially likes playing on the climbing apparatus now, which she never did before. Our parks have lots of runners and press up benches etc. which is now her favourite thing, although today we were conker collecting!

We also regularly meet up with other dog walkers in the local park which gives Lilly a great workout herself as she runs around with them all. Do check out Hotter Boots for your walkies and let me know which ones you go for!
