Last week I started what is hopefully going to be a new weekly feature. A craft or educational activity for children to get stuck into. Erin enjoys crafting but I struggle with inspiration this new feature will hopefully aid other parents by providing some ideas! Last week we started with easy springtime crafts for kids and this week it is a Fun Easter felt decorations to make in 30 minutes.

The first craft is these cute Easter felt decorations, they are felt pockets that you can pop a treat into.
List of Supplies for Easter felt decoration

- Pencil – to trace the template
- Template
Making Process:
Step (1)
Prepare the patterns from the template by printing them into your required size and cutting out. The template includes a whole egg pattern, a half egg pattern and 4 different shapes. You can also create your own custom shapes. Trace the 2 parts of the egg patterns on the selected felt fabric. Cut out the small shape patterns from different colored scrap felt fabrics.
Step (2)
Prepare needle and thread and take the smaller part of the egg pouch pattern. Start stitching the small shape patterns on this piece from the top edge. I simply placed the shapes on the piece and did running stitch over them to attach with the pouch pattern.
Step (3)
Stitch each line of shapes horizontally on the egg pouch pattern.
Step (4)
Stitch as many lines of shapes as required to fill the pattern.
Step (5)
Now take the whole egg pattern and place the smaller (patterned) one on the top of the whole egg pattern; match the bottom ends of both pieces. Now simply stitch around the sides to join both pieces but make sure to keep the top side of the smaller pattern open. After done stitching tie a tight knot and cut off extra thread.
Place the treats inside the Easter felt decorations egg pouch and done!
Use different coloured felt fabrics and different shape cutouts for more variation.
Enjoy!
You could use these Easter felt decorations on an Easter Egg Hunt with clues
